This week the Christmas elves have started their Christmas work..... We have been busy making salt dough tree decorations ready for our school fete.
This week we thought of questions related to growth that we could investigate. We chose two and planned, then carried out an investigation. We explored: Do people with the biggest feet run the fastest? Do people with the greatest arm span throw the furthest. We measured, recorded and then carried out our investigation by running and throwing. We had to keep lots of things the same to make sure it was a fair test. We are looking forward to comparing our results and writing about them. Then we will display them in different ways. Yesterday Georgia and Phoebe came to help Mrs Bennett and Year 3 with their science investigation. They also shared a wonderful story with us at the end of the day. A big thank you to the girls, we hope they come and help us again soon. We have been choosing ingredients and making our own smoothies. We used our tasting session to choose which fruits we thought would work best together, to make the most delicious smoothie. We are also using our recipes we made during our partitioning maths lesson.
For our Big Write on Friday we are going to write instructions for how to make our smoothies. Maybe you would like to try one of our smoothies? . In groups we worked together to create our own exercise routines. We demonstrated these to the class and everyone joined in. Now we are going to use these as our warm ups during future PE and Games lessons. We recognised how our heart rates increased during our exercise routines. |
