Year 3 have been working very hard on multiplication and division this week and making use of the new maths tuff tray we have in class, full of resources to help us.

We always love to show and tell in Year 3 and sing the occasional song or perform a dance. We have now called Mrs Bennett's chair our " chatty chair ". We write our names on the chatty board every time we would like to share something with the class on the chatty chair.
We were busy researching layers of the Rainforest today using the ICT suite and using our summarising skills to record our findings.

Mrs Bennett We created dance sequences including creative movements to demonstrate the life of a plant, tree or flower in the Rainforest.
We recorded and evaluated these in groups. We are now creating our own funky folk dances! We have had a great start to this term and are thoroughly enjoying exploring our new topic The Rainforest!
We have been very busy designing and making our role play area into a tropical Rainforest! As we are learning more we are adding features to it. This week lots of us have brought in things from home too. We had "tissue madness" making the leaves, vines and canopy. Don't forget we are always open to suggestions or items that may enhance it further! |
