We have had a very busy day today making Cawl and bread rolls. Firstly we made the dough and left it to rise before making it into small balls. Then we prepared the vegetables by peeling and chopping ready for the Cawl. We took a visit to the infant department to cook our Cawl and bake our bread. We thoroughly enjoyed being in the nursery class sharing our memories of nursery and reception while we had to keep an eye on our cooking. .
The Cawl and the bread rolls were a big success - we all thoroughly enjoyed and thought it was very tasty! We even delivered some around the school for others to taste. The tasting.....
We all had great fun using traditional folk dance movements to be able to make our very own Welsh folk dances, with a twist!
Here is one for you to watch! Lots of us thought we could enter 'Got to Dance'. Remember this week is Welsh week in school and we have lots of great Welsh based activities planned, including making cawl and welsh food tasting, art work, story retelling and rugby to name a few.
I hope to see my wonderful class in everything and anything Welsh this week! Welsh costumes, rugby shirts, t-shirts etc. Lets celebrate Welsh week in style and be proud to be Welsh! Mrs Bennett We all had great fun today making our very own 'Mud Pie'. We had even more fun tasting the treat we had made at the end of the day, even Mr McComas thought it was delicious!
Today is the last day of this half term. We have been busy doing a Big Write about Helen's diary.
This afternoon we are having a valentines disco. Everyone is really excited for the valentines disco and the whole school is coming. By Aimee and Mayah. Today we have been doing combat dance and we enjoyed having a go at it. Mrs Bennett chose some of our favourite moves and we made a whole class, big dance together. Some of the moves were called chop, split and kick.
We all enjoyed By Safiya |
